Portability is the cornerstone of the PDF. However, since its inception, the PDF’s foremost characteristic has been shaken by its own popularity and evolution. But what are the causes? In the second of a series of white papers on missing PDF font information, we shall explore the problem of missing or incorrect metadata and how it affects text rendering onscreen.
